Paul Heyman promo segment announced for this Friday night's episode of WWE SmackDown on FOX

For this Friday night’s taped Christmas Eve episode of Smackdown on FOX, WWE has announced that Paul Heyman will speak for the first time since being fired and attacked by Roman Reigns.

At the conclusion of last week’s show, Reigns asked Heyman if he was loyal to him or loyal to Brock Lesnar. Reigns then asked Heyman why he was protecting Lesnar from him. Heyman responded and told Reigns he was not protecting Lesnar from him, but that he was protecting Reigns from Lesnar.

Reigns and Heyman hugged and thanked Heyman for 40 years of service to his family before firing Heyman, and then to firing him, followed by a Superman punch. As he was attempting to give Heyman a con-chair-to, Lesnar came out and laid out The Usos and then gave Reigns two F-5s.

This Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown was taped last week’s at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, so it would appear that Heyman speaking on his firing and being attacked will air as a pre-taped backstage segment.

Friday night’s WWE SmackDown will be the go-home for this Saturday’s Day 1 PPV.

The full card for Friday night’s SmackDown, without spoilers, and WWE’s announcement is below.

Last Friday, Universal Champion Roman Reigns absolutely floored the WWE Universe (and Paul Heyman) when he hugged his Special Council and thanked him for 40 years of service to his family before viciously firing him with a Superman Punch out of nowhere.

Now, quite literally a man without an Island (of Relevancy), Heyman will speak for the first time since being let go with extreme prejudice.Find out what the former Special Council has to say this Friday at 8/7 C on FOX.
