WWE provides a medical update on Sasha Banks

WWE has provided a medical update on Sasha Banks.

The update notes Banks underwent an MRI and it was discovered that she has a bruised calcaneus bone, which will keep her out of action for 6-8 weeks. Banks will miss the Royal Rumble on January 29.

At last Sunday’s live Fayetteville, NC, it had appeared Banks hurt her leg or knee while taking an over-the-knee backbreaker in the SmackDown Women’s Title Match against Charlotte Flair. Banks kicked out of a pinfall and stayed in the ring while the referee checked her out, before the finish with Flair applying the Natural Selection. Banks was then helped to the back by officials to be checked out.
