The Boogeyman (real name Marty Wright), revealed on Twitter Monday he has signed a new contract with WWE. The contract shown in the clip on his Twitter shows him as a contractor.
The Boogeyman character debuted on the October 14, 2005 episode of SmackDown. As part of his gimmick, he would hide in secluded areas of the arena and scare other WWE Superstars. He was best known for eating worms during his matches.
He was released from his WWE contract on March 9, 2009. He has made special appearances with the company over the years. His last appearance was during the January 4, 2021 Raw Legends Night episode.
