ABOUT GOLDUST

With a literal of gold and mind games that flummoxes his opponents and fans, Goldust is one of the most bizarre Superstars in WWE history.

The Bizarre One reminds our longtime fans of wrestling legends Gorgeous George and the Exotic Adrian Street with his blond wig (which he removes before his matches), a flowing golden robe and ring attire and black and gold face paint. He resembles an Oscar statue and has a penchant for theater, viewing his matches as mini movies for his Shattered Dreams Production.

During the early years of his WWE career, he had his ?director? Marlena at his side. The pair captured the imagination of our fans, and their risqu? personas helped lay the foundation of the Attitude Era years.

Goldust was deceiving ? he was as tough a Superstar as there’s ever been in WWE. He used his appearance to throw his opponents off their game so that he could devastate them with a reverse suplex and brain-buster combination he called the Curtain Call. He surprised his foes with his brawling ability and surprisingly vicious mean streak.

However, Goldust’s in-ring abilities shouldn?t have surprised anyone; after all, wrestling was in his blood. He’s the son of the ?American Dream? Dusty Rhodes and grew up watching his dad endure countless ring wars. But Dustin Runnels did not want to live in his legendary father’s shadow. He wanted to forge his own legacy in the squared circle.

His championship r’sum? speaks for itself: He is a two-time United States Champion (as Dustin Rhodes in World Championship Wrestling), won the World Tag Team Championship once (with King Booker) and a three-time Intercontinental Champion. Goldust took the machismo out of Razor Ramon en route to winning his first Intercontinental Championship, and our fans still talk about his Hollywood Backlot Brawl with ?Rowdy? Roddy Piper at WrestleMania XII. His battles with a young Triple H also helped prepare the future Game for his multiple world championships.

Publicly and privately, Dustin Runnels lamented on his struggle to live up to his father’s legacy. But he should be very proud ? as Goldust, he provides WWE with some of its most provocative, and sometimes humorous, moments. One thing is for sure, no one will ever forget the name of Goldust.

Following Cyber Sunday 2008, Goldust returned to the active roster wreaking havoc on the psyche of the Braggodocious Italian Superstar, Santino Marella. With The Bizarre One back on the ECW roster full-time, it will be interesting to see who will be the next Superstar to fall victim of the Golden One’s mind games.

ABOUT BUBBA The LOVE SPONGE

Bubba the Love Sponge? (born Todd Clem), age 43, is a native of Warsaw, Indiana who began his career in 1986 at radio station WPFR in Terre Haute while he was in college. By age 25, he was doing morning hit radio in Chicago ? and also has broadcast or been syndicated in Grand Rapids, MI; Milwaukee, WI; Philadelphia, PA; Toledo, OH; San Diego, CA; Columbus, OH; Cincinnati, OH; San Antonio, TX; Tampa, FL; Orlando, FL; West Palm Beach, FL; Macon, GA; Wichita, KS; Shreveport, LA; Ft. Myers, FL; Jacksonville, GL, and Hartford, CT, for which he earned multiple awards from Billboard and Radio & Records, including four consecutive R&R DJ of the Year awards and six Billboard Rock Air Personality of the Year awards.

In 1999 he legally changed his name to the trademarked Bubba the Love Sponge?, a nickname given to him by a former fellow DJ which appears as such on his passport and driver’s license. His name recognition and popularity grew as the Bubba the Love Sponge ? Show became syndicated throughout the US, and he became a top-rated media figure operating out of the Tampa Bay area.

In 2004, Bubba lost his job in terrestrial radio due to crackdowns on ?indecency.? During his time off, Bubba made headlines when he ran for sheriff of Pinellas County, Florida in 2004. Although unsuccessful in his bid, he garnered 30% of the vote. Bubba was able to keep the entire show staff together until Howard Stern brought him to Sirius Satellite Radio in 2006 to be part of his groundbreaking new lineup. In January 2008, the Bubba Radio Network returned to terrestrial radio in Tampa with a bang, jumping instantly to #1 in most major demos, where he still reigns today.

Bubba maintains a longtime team of loyal co-hosts and producers, who bring a wide range of talents to the show: Executive producer/co-host Brent Hatley, audio production and impersonation wizard Manson, savvy hipster/resident stud Spice, and radio’s oldest and crankiest pervert, Ned. Listeners are equally familiar with and entertained by Bubba staffers such as 25 Cent, Miller, Hammil, Tom the Treeman, and more.

Bubba’s off-air interests, such as race car driving, enjoy a prominent place on his show, which has become the ?go to? place for people who are interested in fast cars and bikes, hot women, captivating sports, compelling guests, and humorous, real-world political discourse of the ?Bubba? kind. His 6-yearold car racing son, Tyler, his wife Heather, and his mother ?Janiecakes? are frequently heard on Bubba’s shows and are popular figures with fans.

Bubba is respected for his ability to attract and maintain audiences with his lightning-quick mind and tongue, his sharp sense of humor, his everyman approach to many nontraditional radio topics, and for the unique lingo he often uses on-air, which fans refer to as ?Bubbaspeak.? Fans of the show are known nationwide as the ?Bubba Army,? and are very active in participating in functions and calls to action, where it is not uncommon to have thousands show their strength and support for the show.
