Kushida is reportedly gone from WWE.
As first report by Fightful, and then F4WOnline, it is being said that Kushida left WWE after his contract expired.
Kushida first signed with WWE in 2019. In April 2021, he defeated Santos Escobar in a open challenge match to win the NXT Cruiserweight Championship. He would then go onto lose the title to Roderick Strong in September of that same year.
After losing the Cruiserweight title, Kushida teamed with Ikemen Jiro. They became known as Jacket Time. He was originally scheduled to have a match against Von Wagner on last week’s NXT 2.0. However, there was an angle were he was taken out prior to the match backstage by Wagner.
He was one of NJPW’s top stars, having held the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship six different times.
