WWE NIL signee dismissed from OSU over sexual assault allegations

The O’Colly reported on Wednesday that new WWE Next in Line signee AJ Ferrari, Jr. has been dismissed from the Oklahoma State University wrestling team after the University became aware of a sexual assault investigation against him.  It was also noted Ferrari currently has an order of protection out against him.

Derek Chance, Ferrari’s attorney, gave the following statement to The O’Colly:

“The allegations against AJ are false. It is unfortunate that a student athlete can become a target, primarily because of their status as an elite athlete. AJ is cooperating with law enforcement and is confident the truth will come out. He appreciated his time at Oklahoma State, but he and the university mutually agreed a change was appropriate

The Stillwater, Oklahoma Police Department issued the following statement on Twitter as it pertains to the investigation.

As of this report, it is unknown the status of Ferrari’s WWE status.

Ferrarri was seriously injured last January in a car wreck in Oklahoma.  According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Report, Ferrari was driving his 2019 Dodge Durango with a passenger on Highway 33 near Perkins, Oklahoma, at about 8:00 PM local time. When he attempted to pass 3 vehicles while cresting a hill. Ferrari’s SUV hit an oncoming driver, then left the roadway and overturned several times before coming to rest in a ditch.  The cause of the collision was listed as “passing in a no-passing zone.”

Ferrari, 20, was signed back in December 2020 to WWE’s first ever NIL (Name, Image & Likeness) program.
