Kevin Owens Injured at WWE Live Event

Kevin Owens signs new multi-year deal with WWE

Kevin Owens suffered an injury at Sunday’s WWE live event in Madison, Wisconsin.

Owens defeated Austin Theory but appeared to have suffered a knee injury at one point. Fans in attendance noted how Owens went down on his knee, and the match was called off soon after that moment.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter confirmed that the injury is an MCL sprain. Meltzer wrote, “The way it was worded was that hopefully that is all the injury is with the idea it could be more than that.”

Owens came down from the turnbuckle and landed hard on his knee before he immediately clutched the knee as the referee checked on him. Owens then got back up, hit the Stunner, and got the pin on Theory. Owens was helped to the backstage area by the referee while limping.

We will keep you updated on the situation as it develops, meanwhile we here at Wrestleview wish a speedy recovery to Kevin Owens.
