WWE Smackdown for July 29:
-Triple H came out to talk about the State of the World Heavyweight Championship. Christian interrupted him and said Teddy Long is running Smackdown into the ground. Triple H announced that Christian would defend his World Heavyweight Championship at Summerslam in a No Holds Barred Match.
R-Truth was out next and he said he wanted to continue what they started on Raw. R-Truth talked about the conspiracy against him. Triple H booked him against Randy Orton tonight. Triple H said that John Morrison was there and he’d face Christian next.
-Backstage Triple H was with Teddy Long when Zack Ryder interrupted them. Triple H made Ryder Teddy Long’s assistant.
-Christian def. John Morrison (non-title)
-Wade Barrett cut a promo running down Daniel Bryan. Bryan came out and Barrett took him down. Bryan soon came back with the LeBell Lock, making Barrett tap.
-Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes & Melina def. Natalya, AJ & Kaitlyn
-Mark Henry def. Bobby Heller (local wrestler). Teddy Long stopped Henry from destroying him with a chair, mentioning some pending lawsuits. Sheamus came out and said he’d fight Henry. Sheamus then chased Henry from the ring and kept him away with a chair.
-The New Nexus def. The Usos to retain the WWE Tag Team Championships
-Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase def. Ezekiel Jackson. Zack Ryder booked the match.
-R-Truth def. Randy Orton via DQ. Orton hit R-Truth with a chair. Christian came out to distract but got scared away. Orton hit R-Truth with a pair of RKOs on the announcer’s table.
Dark Match Main Event:
-Christian def. Randy Orton to retain the World Heavyweight Championship in a Street Fight.
