Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid request and are granted their WWE releases

Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler granted WWE releases

Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid (formerly the Grizzled Young Veterans) are gone from WWE.

Earlier today, it was reported by Fightful that Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid of the Schism faction in WWE NXT requested their releases from WWE.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer would later confirm that their request was granted by the company.

Formerly known as James Drake and Zack Gibson of the Grizzled Young Veterans, they were signed in 2018 to be part of the NXT UK brand. They would become the inaugural NXT UK Tag Team Champions and hold those titles for 230 days. They would move to the main NXT brand in 2020.

Following the reboot to NXT 2.0, they would have their names changed to Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid and be known as The Dyad. They would eventually merge with Schism. They last competed on the NXT Stand and Deliver Kickoff Show in a losing effort alongside Ava and Joe Gacy, losing to Tyler Bate and Chase University.
