Raw draws lowest rating since December of 1997

As reported earlier, this week’s 9/12 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw drew a 2.71 cable rating with 3.9 million viewers. This ended up as the lowest rated regular or non-holiday episode of Raw in almost 14 years going back to December 15, 1997. The show also ended up at No. 10 for the night on cable, one of its lowest showings in a long time for a regular run episode. “Monday Night Football” on ESPN drew a huge audience this week with double-header games drawing 14.5 million and 15.3 million viewers respectively (part of the second game aired on ESPN 2 and later on ESPN).
