According to an article by The Middletown Press, while a new Quinnipiac Poll shows Linda McMahon with a strong lead over former U.S. Rep. Christopher Shays, she doesn’t fair well when going up against potential Democrat opponents. U.S. Rep. Christopher Murphy (Democrat) holds 49% to 38% lead over McMahon, while former Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz (Democrat) holds a 46% to 38% over McMahon.
McMahon is expected to announce her run for U.S. Senate on Tuesday.
