Early estimates have the 8/14 WWE Summerslam PPV doing 301,000 buys worldwide with 174,000 domestic according to a report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Based on those early estimates, it would come in as the lowest domestic buyrate for a Summerslam event in WWE history. The worldwide buyrate is down 14% from last year and the domestic number is down 12% from last year (the 2010 show did 349,000 buys worldwide with 209,000 domestic). If you go back even farther, the 2009 show drew 369,000 buys worldwide and the 2008 show drew 477,000 buys worldwide.
