Update on Night of Champions status of Cody Rhodes, set to compete with “broken arm” against Brock Lesnar

During the 5/22 edition of RAW, a backstage segment saw Brock Lesnar attack the arm of Cody Rhodes, including a Kimura Lock that the Beast looked to keep on as long as possible.

This set off a chain of storyline events leading to Cody Rhodes suffering what is being described as a “broken arm” leading into his match against Lesnar at Night of Champions.

This was addressed at the Night of Champions press conference by Triple H, who confirmed that Cody would get the go-ahead to compete in spite of the injury.

“Not the best situation in the world. I don’t know if it’s the smartest decision in the world. But here’s the thing: Brock Lesnar wants to fight. Cody Rhodes wants to fight. Do you want to see them fight? Then tomorrow, in this dome, they are going to fight.”

This match will be a rematch from Backlash, which saw Rhodes counter a Kimura Lock into a pin for the victory.

Night of Champions streams live on Peacock in the States and the WWE Network internationally on Saturday, May 27, starting at 1 p.m. Eastern time. The following is currently scheduled for the show:
