According to a report from Fightful Select, Vince McMahon is said to be making regular changes to WWE creative remotely, with late changes being made to the shows.
The report also notes that as previously reported, the roster has been assured regularly that Paul Levesque is still in charge of creative. It was further notes noted that when McMahon is at the television shows in person, the changes are much heavier and have less logic. Fightful Select added that the roster said they have heard McMahon makes significant changes to the scripts. However, talent have also reportedly said they have had more flexibility in their promos with Levesque than when Vince McMahon is present at the television shows.
Fightful Select further noted morale within WWE was extremely high following the recent European tour, with a number of talent and staff saying it was the most fun tour they have ever done. Fightful Select said they were told by talent and staff things have improved a lot since McMahon was around at events.
The report concluded by saying that even though there are some within WWE that are said to be still “on guard” for the possibility Vince will return to being in-person at events, several believe that McMahon chose to work remotely because he realized that his presence at the shows backstage causes chaos with talent and staff.
