WWE continues to be on a roll, posting matches from past SummerSlam PPV events.
This time it is then Intercontinental Champion Umaga defending the title against Carlito and Mr. Kennedy at SummerSlam 2007. The PPV which was held on August 27, 2007, took place place at the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, NJ. It was also formerly known as the Meadlowlands Arena and Izod Center.
Umaga past away at age 36 on December 4, 2009, from what was determined to be a heart attack.
SummerSlam 2007 was the 20th annual summer spectacular from WWE. Tickets for the show went on sale December 30, 2006 and sold out in just 40 minutes. The event had a total of 17,144 fans in attendance.
The 2023 SummerSlam premium live event takes place on Saturday, August 5 from Ford Field in Detroit, MI. It will stream on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else, beginning at 8:00 pm ET.
