Brian Pillman Jr. under new name of Lexis King makes in-ring debut at NXT house show

Brian Pillman Jr. under his new WWE in-ring name of Lexis King competed in his first-ever match for the company, at the NXT house show at the Largo Events Center in Largo, FL on Friday night.

Pillman Jr. got the win over Brooks Jensen.

Pillman left AEW this past July after his contract was not renewed. Shortly after, he signed a deal with WWE and then officially began at the Performance Center in August.

Over the past few weeks on NXT television, vignettes have been airing to hype up Pillman’s NXT debut. A promo with Pillman Jr. aired during this past Tuesday’s NXT. In the video he gave the reason why he is not using his father’s last name. He said that he lost his father when he was just four years old. He then said that it seems everyone has memories of his father, but he does not any. Pillman said that he is nobody’s junior and he is taking on the last name of the real man who raised him, the real father figure in his life and that his name was King and now so is his. Pillman then said that he wants to inflict pain on the business that has brought him so much grief.

WWE filed a trademark for “Lexis King” back on October 2.
