WWE.com is reporting that when Randy Orton met with WWE physician Dr. Michael Sampson, it was determined he would only be out of action for “a few weeks.” This is a far cry from the “six months” figure that was announced by Tony Chimmel at last night’s Smackdown event in Detroit.
Dr. Sampson gave further details on Orton’s recovery.
“Randy suffered a herniated disc on the L4-L5 level on the left side, and that’s resulting in pain and weakness down his leg. He’s going to need some time off for rehab, anti-inflammatory medications and physical therapy.”
