Former WWE Superstar to represent MVP Title at the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl

AJ Francis (former WWE Superstar Top Dolla), announced on X that Cheez-It had signed him to represent the MVP Title at the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl, which takes place at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

The bowl game will see the Iowa Hawkeyes vs. the Tennessee Volunteers.

Francis first signed with WWE back in January 2020, where he started in the NXT brand. He was released from his contract in November 2021, only to be brought back in August 2022 and then again released this past September, just nine days after Endeavor acquired WWE.

Prior to his professional wrestling career, Francis played college football for the University of Maryland. He then went un-drafted and was signed with the Miami Dolphins. During his NFL career Francis played with the Seattle Seahawks, Washington Redskins (Commanders), New England Patriots, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New York Giants.

Francis made his first post-WWE appearance at the GCW Holiday special back on December 21, the day his 90-day non-compete clause officially ended.

Francis wore mask attacked Joey Janela in the ring. After the attack, he removed the mask, making the reveal. The promotion has also announced Francis for the Look At Me PPV event on January 26, in which he will square off against Janela.
