Nic Nemeth says WWE release “wasn’t out of the blue”

Appearing on a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, Nic Nemeth talked about his departure from WWE.

Referring to his readiness for a new chapter in the final stretch of his time with the company, the former Dolph Ziggler stated:

“I’ve been preparing for this so long and getting things ready to go that I wasn’t like ‘What? What do I do now?’ It was I was planning this along for half of this entire last contract with WWE.

It wasn’t out of the blue. I had sent a few emails to the boss for the last six months definitely saying ‘I have to move on somewhere else, can you let me do this?’ And eventually, without exact back and forth, that’s how it worked out.”

Nemeth appeared wtih his brother Ryan at New Japan’s Wrestle Kingdom 18 event, later attacking David Finlay backstage following the latter’s victory for the new IWGP Global Championship.
