Fightful Select has reported that Giulia has agreed to join WWE.
The former NJPW Strong Women’s Champion appeared at NXT Stand & Deliver, and was reported to be backstage throughout WrestleMania 40 weekend with a “performer” badge on.
Giulia, who became a free agent in March, is expected to finish her remaining dates before officially starting with WWE.
Fightful has further reported that WWE offered more money and expressed more of an interest in the star than AEW had, with William Regal said to have played a “significant role” in the negotiations.
Ross Ogawa, the STARDOM founder who is set to open his own promotion soon, was also said to have been a big factor in Giulia’s decision.
It is said she could be starting with NXT “at any time.”
