5/14 NXT viewership and key demo down; SPOILERS for 5/21 episode

This week’s episode of NXT on the USA Network drew 567,000 viewers. This number is down from the 659,000 viewers the show had last week.

In the key 18-49 demographic, NXT came in with a 0.18 rating, which is down from last week’s rating of 0.19.

Tuesday night’s NXT faced stiff competition from the NBA playoff game between the Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks, which drew 4.1 million viewers and a 1.38 rating on TNT. In addition, NXT also had competition from the WNBA game that featured the regular season debut of Caitlin Clark. That game, which aired on ESPN2 saw 2.1 million viewers and a 0.48 rating.

Below are the spoilers for the 5/21 episode of NXT, which was taped on 5/14.

-NXT Champion Trick Williams cut a promo, but was then interrupted by Meta Four. Gallus attacked Williams during the segment, with Je’Von Evans attempting to make the save, but failed.

-Lexis King came to the ring for a match. Mr Stone came out after Lexis King, but he did not speak. He pointed to the big screen, with Dante Chen coming out to a huge pop.

-Dante Chen defeated Lexis King

-Jaida Parker and Fallon Henley qualified for the NXT North American Women’s Title Ladder Match at Battleground, by defeatingBrinley Reece and Thea Hail

-Joe Coffey replaced Ivar in the North American Title number one contender’s triple threat match. Coffey and Wes Lee were both declared the winners. Coffey vs. Lee vs. Oba Femi was then made official for Battleground.

-NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Nathan Frazer and Axiom retained over Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Luca Crusifino. The OC and No Quarter Catch Crew both got involved after the match.

-Karmen Petrovic and Natalya defeated Shayna Baszler and Lola Vice. After the match, Lola turned on Baszler and dropped her. Baszler then got back up and choked her out, with Ava coming out to make the match between the two for Battleground. Baszler said the match will be an NXT Underground match. Some fans missed the post-match angle, as they started to leaving the venue.

-Roxanne Perez’s opponent for Battleground was not revealed to the crowd in a live segment
