Arda Ocal (@Arda_Ocal) of The Score Television Network had a chance to chat with WWE Hall of Famer J.J. Dillon while Dillon appeared at Wrestlereunion in Toronto.
Highlights:
Dillon speaks about his Hall of Fame ring and the process of actually being able to wear it since it was too small.
Dillon speaks about his years with the Four Horsemen and any specific memories that stand out during the time of his career the fans remember the most.
“The Horsemen years, it was like a blur. It just shot by. There were probably some highlights involving Ric Flair that I probably can’t talk about in public. I don’t think there was any one specific thing that I could say that was the defining moment. It was an incredible ride when it started. No one had any idea how big it would become or certainly how long it would last.”
Dillon talks about heading to conventions and reuniting with old friends such as Bruno Sammartino.
Dillon also set the record straight when asked if the stories of The Four Horsemen’s party lifestyle were true.
“If you met Ric Flair, you wouldn’t have to ask me. He (Flair) was the lead dog. He would tell people on television where we were going to be. When we would get there after a tough day, he would want to go to the best watering hole in town and people knew we were coming. We would say we’d have an early night and I don’t remember the last time we had an early night. It was just a lifestyle that we enjoy and we enjoyed each other’s company. It was magical.”
