Ambrose says “You broke my heart, Regal, you broke my heart tonight, Regal”. “You twisted it up and tore to shreds whatever was left of it tonight, Regal, you really did”. “We jumped in this fire together, but you LEFT ME OUT IN THE COLD”. “I guess I really am all alone in this world, you broke my heart tonight, Regal.” “And I thought you were just like me, but you’re not, turns out you’re just like EVERYBODY ELSE”. “The vultures that circle over my head, ready to take from me, take what’s mine, you’re trying to take away MY re-match, MY chance at redemption, a match that I deserve, A MATCH THAT I EARNED”. “YOU DON’T HAVE THE RIGHT TO TAKE IT AWAY”. “And that’s what you do, you take, you all take, the drugs took my mom, the cops took my dad, the social workers came and took away my little cousin”. “Beautiful little girl, smart as a whip, the only positive light I ever had in my life”. ‘I COULD HAVE PROTECTED HER”. “SHE WOULDN’T HAVE HAD TO GO THROUGH WHAT I DID, BUT THEY TOOK HER AWAY, they said I wasn’t good enough to take care of her and she’s gone, they took her away, just like you’re taking my re-match away”. “I don’t have anything left, this is all I have left, THIS IS ALL I HAVE”. “So a loss to you hanging over my head is a dull blade twisting and turning in my stomach EVERYDAY”. “And I don’t think I can live another second on this earth until I get it back, back what’s mine, what you took from me”. “And I will get it back with interest”. “Nobody takes from me anymore, THOSE DAYS ARE OVER”. “William Regal broke my heart tonight, so I am gonna rip his heart RIGHT OUT OF HIS CHEST AND THROW IT UP AGAINST THE WALL!”
Ambrose leaves in anger as we go to credits.
My Thoughts
Solid show this week.
Opening 6-man was decent, although I felt it dragged a little too long with the heels control section on Jordan. Woods was very good off the hot tag and showed a lot of babyface fire. Solid opener with good effort shown by all.
Dalton & Sakamoto was pretty good. Dalton is improving in the ring, both in his FIP & comeback game. Sakamoto played the old school foreigner heel nicely and bumped good for Dalton on Dalton’s comeback. Good match with a lot of effort shown by both guys.
The Divas match was not very good. Whoever thought these two should get 6 minutes needs to be chewed out. You give a green talent a lot of time when they are in there with a veteran who can teach them, not someone as green as them. They did bring the hate and amped up the intensity, which was good, but the rest was just not. They both tried very hard, but they still have a lot to learn and it showed.
The Langston/Jiro & Ohno/Salazar matches were just short showcases for Langston & Ohno to give them dominant wins. Nothing more to it than that.
The main event was OK, but it didn’t seem to click and was very short. However, the post-match promo from Ambrose that closed the show was downright AWESOME. Ambrose is hitting on all cylinders with his mic work and character development as this unhinged madman and he is right at the brim of a call-up and to me, the fact that he is working with top veterans like Regal and maybe eventually Mick Foley, tells me the WWE sees a lot in him for the future, which is nothing but good for him. Match was OK, but the closing promo was damn good and its something I would easily recommend viewing.
Overall, solid show with some good performances but not a lot in the way of angles, except for the stuff with Ambrose & Regal at the end.
My Grade: C+
