Following the announcement last week of Wrestlemania 28 reaching an estimated 1.3 million Pay Per View buys (a new record for WWE), Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has distributed a list of the top seven WWE PPV events that have topped the one million buy mark.
1. Wrestlemania 28 on 4/1/12: estimated 1.3 million buys.
2. Wrestlemania 23 on 4/1/07: 1.25 million buys.
3. Wrestlemania 27 on 4/3/11: 1.12 million buys.
4. Wrestlemania 21 on 4/3/05: 1.09 million buys.
5. Wrestlemania 17 on 4/1/01: 1.04 million buys.
5. Wrestlemania 24 on 3/30/08: 1.04 million buys.
7. Wrestlemania 20 on 3/14/04: 1.02 million buys.
