The Select Committee, the UK Lawmaker committee investigating the UK Phone Hacking Scandal, have ruled Rupert Murdoch owner of News Corp. unfit to own or run an international media company. News Corp owns 39.1% of British Sky Broadcasting (BSkyB) as well as Fox News, The Wall Street Journal, and Twentieth Century Fox. Due to the hacking scandal, News Corp pulled back an earlier bid to purchase the entire company. With the unfit ruling from the select committee, it puts the start of political pressure on News Corp to sell its remaining stake in BSkyB.
BSkyB is the parent company of Sky Sports, the Provider of WWE Content in the UK.
