The Rock’s “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” sees change in release

Paramount announced this week that “G.I. Joe: Retaliation”, originally scheduled for a 6/29 release, has been moved to a release next year on March 29, 2013. The reason given was the studio wanted time to convert the movie to 3-D. Deadline Hollywood is reporting that many aren’t buying that story and instead discovered the reshoots were needed after test audiences gave the film less than stellar reviews. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that this release date could conflict with Johnson getting involved with Wrestlemania next year in New Jersey if he needs to do heavy promoting for the film.
