According to a report by Fightful Select, Meiko Satomura who as been signed with WWE since 2022, but last appeared on NXT programming in 2023, is in the United States this week. Satomura reportedly did a photoshoot with NXT Women’s Champion Giulia at the Performance Center in Orlando.
The report also notes that Satomura is scheduled to attend this Tuesday’s NXT Roadblock special, which will air live on the CW from The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City. However, it is not known at the time of Fightful’s report if Satomura will appear on television as part of the show.
Satomura’s last appearance on WWE/NXT programming was at Roadblock 2023. At 45-years of age, Satomura is nearing her in-ring retirement, with her last match scheduled for April 29 with Sendai Girls. Fightful also notes that after finishing up her final matches in the United Kingdom, several requests made to Satomura by independent promotions were rejected.
She is the current Sendai Girls World Champion, in her second reign and is also a former one-time NXT UK Women’s Champion.
