Former WWE talent reveals he’s been sober for over 500 days

Speaking on the most recent episode of his Talk’n Shop podcast, former WWE talent Karl Anderson noted that he has been sober for over 500 days.

“The Machine Gun is like 500-something days stone-cold sober. I feel great. Next level, not drinking beer. I feel great. Health is through the roof. Listen, I was one of the best wrestlers around anyway, I just never got credit for it. I was one of the best wrestlers ever and I was hungover half the time. But now that I’m not ever hungover, I feel like I’m f——- 22 again. That’s a f——- shoot hoot.”

Anderson underwent shoulder surgery on October 28, 2024 to repair a torn rotator cuff and torn labrum. He and his long-time tag team partner Luke Gallows were released from WWE back on February 8. They will be officially free agents this Thursday. He and Gallows were released from WWE initially back on April 15, 2020 and then returned during the October 10, 2022, episode of Raw, re-aligning with AJ Styles to feud with Judgment Day.
