In a statement posted on social media, Elayna Black revealed she would be taking a break from wrestling for the foreseeable future.

Black, who won the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship during her run as Cora Jade, cited concerns for her mental health, noting that she would take the rest of the year to “take care of me and go from there” before apologizing to fans and promoters for missing dates she was previously scheduled to appear and compete at.
Black’s most recent match on the independent circuit saw her team with Brooke Havoc to face The IINspiration of Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay at Prestige Wrestling’s Combat Clash event on July 13.
Wrestleview wishes Elayna Black all the best in this time of reassessment.
