Early in the morning on July 24, 2025, Hulk Hogan (real name Terry Bollea) passed away at the age of 71.

The Clearwater Police Department, the department that responded to the 911 call from Hogan’s residence, issued a statement on his death, referring to it as a “cardiac arrest.”

The 911 call was made at 9:51 a.m., at which point medical was dispatched. The medical dispatch arrived at Hogan’s residence at 9:56 a.m. and began performing life-saving techniques on him. Police were requested at 10:19 a.m., and they arrived at the residence at 10:23 a.m. Hogan would then be transported to Morton Plant Hospital at 10:32 a.m. Hogan was pronounced dead at 11:17 a.m.

Hulk Hogan was one of the biggest stars in the history of professional wrestling, helping to elevate the genre from regional entertainment to a global phenomenon.

Hogan had been suffering from medical issues following a neck surgery and was rumored to be on his deathbed earlier this month, a claim that his family refuted.

Just before 10 a.m. today, Clearwater Fire and Rescue along with the Clearwater Police Department responded to a house in the 1000 block of Eldorado Avenue for a medical call. It was discovered at that time, Terry Bollea, also known as Hulk Hogan, was experiencing a serious medical issue. Personnel provided medical treatment at the scene and transported him to Morton Plant Hospital where he died at 11:17 a.m.

The Clearwater Police Department is conducting a death investigation, which is standard in these types of cases. There are no signs of foul play or anything suspicious about his death; and our personnel is providing the family with the necessary resources. I strongly encourage everyone to keep the family in their thoughts, and please respect their privacy during this difficult time.
