Judge David Bothwell has ordered the release of Janel Grant’s medical records from Dr. Carlon Colker and his clinic, Peak Wellness, allowing access to the former WWE employee and her legal counsel, according to a report from Brandon Thurston of POST Wrestling.
The update comes over a year after Grant filed the bill of discovery, and after Colker’s attempt to have the petition dismissed was rejected in May.
The order covers not only medical and billing records but certain communications between the clinic and Vince McMahon or WWE, notable for its ties to Grant’s lawsuit against the company and its former executive chair regarding allegations of sexual assault and sex trafficking.
Despite granting access to the documents, however, the judge rejected Grant’s bid to depose Colker and his staff for now, noting that testimony under oath could be taken later if Grant ultimately files a lawsuit against them.
