During Sunday’s NXT Heatwave, it was revealed by NXT General Manager Ava that the WWE Speed Championships will be defended on NXT television going forward.
Ava also revealed the WWE Speed Women’s Champion Sol Ruca will defend the title at the No Mercy PLE taking place on September 27. Furthermore a tournament to determine the new No. 1 contender will be held on the September 2 episode of NXT. One wrestler from Raw or SmackDown, TNA, NXT and one from AAA will be part of the tournament.
The last episode of Speed on X aired back on July 9.
