Despite reporting last week that WWE and All Japan Pro Wrestling had agreed to a partnership, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is now reporting that the story reported in the Japanese media turned out to be nothing. All Japan officials took John Laurinaitis out to dinner after one of the recent WWE events on Tokyo back in August and pitched him on making All Japan an affiliate of WWE. However, by that point Laurinaitis had lost most of his power.
