The Takedown on SI has reported that Joe Hendry is in the process of being largely phased out of TNA programming and integrated more into WWE television, per sources within both companies.
The speculation comes as the former TNA World Champion has been appeared on a consistent basis in both NXT and main roster programming, such as the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania.
TNA President Carlos Silva stated that Hendry is still under contract with TNA, with the company coordinating talent usage alongside WWE-NXT as part of their ongoing partnership.
Notably, Hendry’s match on the September 4 episode of TNA IMPACT marks the only bout of his past eight to be held under the TNA umbrella, with the remainder consisting of NXT matches and a small series against The Miz during WWE’s Road to Clash in Paris tour.
