WWE ID has revealed via social media that a new Women’s Champion will be crowned at the upcoming Wrestling Open Rhode Island event on November 17.
Details on the match (including who will compete) were not announced, but the account noted that whoever wins the title would be ID’d, and given a developmental contract through the program.
The title has been vacated since late September, when Kylie Rae announced she was going on maternity leave.
The inaugural champion’s WWE ID contract expired in October, leaving the title’s status up in the air despite Nor “Phoenix” Diana winning a No. 1 Contender’s Match in August.
