During his recent appearance on the Sportskeeda Wrestle Binge, Andrade said WWE sent a signed letter to his lawyer that allows him to wrestle at tonight’s WWC show Puerto Rico. He did specifically note the letter is only for WWC and no other promotion at this time.
“I want to say thank you to my lawyer because my lawyer now has a letter from WWE. Because we had some little problems because I have the no-compete for 12 months. Today my lawyer texted me and told me that Andrade, I have a letter signed that you can participate tonight in Puerto Rico in the company WWC. I hope back soon to AEW. I don’t know when I’m back. For now, the letter is for just this show for Puerto Rico.”
Andrade will challenge Xavant for the WWC Universal Championship. He had originally been scheduled to wrestle at the WWC show back in October, but was pulled due to his current contract situation with WWE. He was fired from WWE this past September due to several wellness violations and disciplinary issues.
After making a surprise appearance on the 6th Anniversary episode of AEW Dynamite back on October 1, he was quietly removed from AEW TV after it was learned that he violated his 90-day no-compete clause, which has been been keeping him from initially competing for one-year.
