Mick Foley spoke out on social media to address a recent report that he was “furious” at WWE for continuing to use wrestling footage of him after he publicly parted ways with the company.
STOPPING A LIE.
An Instagram page called @itswrestlinglover and a Facebook page called “Wrestling Corner” have posted a completely false story about me being furious that @wwe is continuing to use my wrestling footage. That’s simply a lie. It’s WWE’s footage and I’m very proud of it. End of story.
The supposed report comes after the WWE Hall of Famer stated he no longer wished to represent the company and would not be renewing his Legends deal as long as WWE kept a close relationship with President Donald Trump.
Foley asked the website in question to retract the statement, later providing an update to fans that one page has complied with the request.
UPDATE: @itswrestlinglover has removed the post and apologized. It turns out he was duped by a post he saw on Facebook from a page called Wrestling Corner. They have apparently shared a number of false stories about me recently, and I would appreciate if they followed his lead. Now more than ever it’s important to look a little deeper into stories we read online before sharing them as if they’re true.
