WWE reportedly revisiting RAW main event for Elimination Chamber

With the road to WrestleMania more firmly set in place following the Royal Rumble, WWE is reportedly looking to run back a recent main event from RAW for a feud heading into the upcoming Elimination Chamber event in Chicago.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that the idea of CM Punk defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor has been discussed within the company, after the pair previously faced off in Belfast.

Balor interfered during Punk’s title defense against AJ Styles the following week, seeking revenge for his loss against the champ.

While the match has not been made official as of this writing, a rematch between the pair could be the next story beat following Punk’s remarks toward Finn before addressing the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble winner, Roman Reigns, who will face Punk for the title at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
