Report: Former champion expected to be in on-screen authority-figure role in WWE Evolve

According to Bodyslam+, sources have indicated to the publication, WWE is planning to introduce Timothy Thatcher as the brand new on-screen General Manager for the Evolve brand.

Following Stevie Turner’s (real name Lucy Bridge) departure near the end of 2025, Evolve has been without someone in the General Manager role.

The 42-year old Thatcher was part of NXT between 2020 and 2022. He has also wrestled for MLW, AEW, ROH and Pro Wrestling NOAH. Thatcher held the Evolve championship for 596 days, under the original ownership of the promotion, first winning the title in back on July 10, 2015.

He returned to WWE back in 2024 as a trainer and currently trains independent talent as part of WWE’s ID program.
