During the Elimination Chamber post-show, WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced that Cody Rhodes will challenge Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed Title on the March 6 episode on SmackDown.
The match was made due to McIntyre’s interference during the men’s Elimination Chamber Match, as he was going after Rhodes. McIntyre was laid out by Rhodes with his signature Cross Rhodes move. However, when Rhodes got up, Randy Orton hit him with an RKO for the win.
Also scheduled for Friday’s show is a match to determine the new number one contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championships.
The March 6 episode of WWE SmackDown will take place from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.
