Reports by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter and The Figure Four Weekly Newsletter claimed that the new voiceover open for Raw was largely influenced by TNA Impact Wrestling and that both writers assistants and consultants are given weekly tapes of TNA and ROH to review.
Wrestleview.com spoke with a source in WWE that laughed off the report.
“No one has ever suggested once we look at TNA or ROH for anything other than laughs. One company shoots their shows on glorified home camcorders and the other can’t even switch between basic camera shots. It’s like comparing public access to network television. (Reports like that are) out of touch internet fans wishing their favorite promotions into relevance.”
