To follow up on earlier reports about projections by WWE with the 10/28 Hell in a Cell PPV doing an estimated 200,000 buys, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the estimated breakdown had the show doing 152,000 domestic buys and 48,000 overseas. That domestic number was just below the 159,000 buys set by the Extreme Rules PPV back in April featuring the return of Brock Lesnar against John Cena. In comparison, the 2011 Money in the Bank PPV featuring the big angle with CM Punk drew 146,000 domestic buys. With Punk vs. Ryback headling Hell in a Cell, it would be one of the biggest successes for Punk in his career with WWE. A big factor came into play to help the show this year – WWE had six weeks to build the show instead of two weeks last year.
