** FCW Superstar Darren Young to Host Food Drive **

Plant City, Florida ? November 13, 2009

Florida Championship Wrestling Superstar Darren Young is hosting a Holiday Food Drive during the FCW Wrestling live event at the Plant City Armory on November 20th. Darren is urging fans to bring a canned good or non-perishable food item for the Metropolitan Ministries food bank. Fans participating will receive an FCW Universe Fan Bag.

Darren Young is one of the up and coming FCW Superstars. The 6?1? 235lb Miami native is currently teaming with Percy Watson in what is turning out to be one of the most colorful tag teams in FCW Wrestling history. The eccentric duo will be joined by 3rd generation wrestler Joe Hennig to face The Dude Busters Trent Berretta and Caylon Croft and Smackdown Superstar Curt Hawkins in a Six Man Tag Team Match in Plant City.

Darren has been volunteering his time since high school and college. He knows that he is very blessed to earn a living at FCW doing what he loves and realizes that there are many people that are not quite as fortunate, especially in these hard economic times. He feels that at the end of the day, giving back to the community that supports him is simply the right thing to do.

Florida Championship Wrestling is the exclusive developmental territory for the WWE. Over the past the past 3 years Florida Championship Wrestling under the direction of Steve Keirn has produced thirty of the current superstars now seen on RAW, Smackdown and ECW.

In addition to Darren Young’s food drive, the November 20th event has been designated Fan Appreciation Night by FCW President, Steve Keirn. ?Our fans in Plant City have been so loyal, that I am designating November as Fan Appreciation Month? said Keirn.

Fans will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to name who will be competing in the main event. Fans will also be chosen to be a Guest Ring Announcer, Guest Bell Ringer, and Guest Time Keeper. One very lucky fan will be chosen to walk current FCW Champion Justin Angel to the ring.

For nearly half a century, Florida Championship Wrestling has been the Sunshine State’s primary wrestling promotion. Now officially sanctioned and recently reorganized by WWE, FCW has also become the training ground for future WWE Superstars.

Under the tutelage and leadership of Florida wrestling legend Steve Keirn, FCW’s goal for the fans is simple: To give them a glimpse at the potential Superstars of tomorrow, while providing exciting ring action that leaves the entire family with smiles on their faces.

The key objective within Florida Championship Wrestling is to train the next generation of WWE Superstars. FCW takes enormous pride in its live events all over the southeast, and in promoting tryouts at the organization’s Tampa location to showcase young men and women interested in a career as a sports-entertainer.

Current WWE Superstars that have come from the FCW include Jack Swagger, RAW’s Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston Ted DiBiase, Primo Colon, David Hart Smith, Ezekiel Jackson, The Bella Twins, Gabriel, Evan Bourne, Tiffany, Sheamus, Drew McIntyre Tyler Reks, Abraham Washington, Alicia Fox, Vance Archer and many more.
