Welcome to this week’s edition of the Main Event recap. Filling in for CJ Bowman this week, so if you all are ready, then let’s get to the show!

A video is shown from earlier today where Cody Rhodes is talking with Divas Champion Kaitlyn when Sheamus walks in. Sheamus begins making fun of Cody’s mustache and Cody is not too happy about it. Cody then challenges Sheamus to a match. Sheamus brings up their match a few weeks ago, but Cody is inistant, so Sheamus accepts. Cody says tonight, the “Love-stache’ will strike back, to which Kaitlyn cracks up laughing.

We see the usual intro, then Michael Cole & Jerry “The King” Lawler welcome us to the show and we go right to our opening match.

“The Great White” Sheamus vs. Cody Rhodes

Sheamus shoves Rhodes back into the ropes, which surprises Cody. Sheamus gets out of a go-behind with a back elbow and Cody has words with the referee. Cody gains advantage with a front chancery, but Sheamus gets out and hits a shoulder tackle that sends Cody to the outside fuming mad. Back in the ring, Sheamus catches a Cody kick with a back heel trip, followed by a knee drop. Sheamus with a suplex for a nearfall. Cody draws in Sheamus and sends him to the outside. Cody goes for a crossbody, but Sheamus catches him. Sheamus goes for a fallaway slam, but Cody slips out. Sheamus stops himself from going into the ringpost, then sends Cody head-first off the announce table before sending him back in. Sheamus starts to go back in, but Cody hits him with the Disaster Kick that Sheamus crashing down to the outside. Cody is now in control as we go to commercial.

Commercial

Back from commercial as Cody slips out of a Sheamus lift-up and hits a DDT for a nearfall. Cody with some right hands, followed by a boot to the head. Cody with more right hands in the corner, then taunts the crowd. Cody goes back to the front chancery, but Sheamus gets free with right hands, but then Cody comes back with a Russian Leg Sweep. Cody stomps away at Sheamus and chokes him with his boot. Cody with the point of his elbow to the head of Sheamus and gets a 1 count. Cody with a step-over armbar, pulling back on Sheamus’s fingers. Sheamus comes back with a roll-up for a nearfall, but Cody answers with a dropkick. Cody with clubs to the back, then trash talks Sheamus, who then fights back. Sheamus reverses a whip, but Cody side-steps a back drop. Cody off the ropes, but Sheamus catches him with the Irish Curse backbreaker.

Sheamus with an Irish Hammer, a running shoulder charge and a kneelift. Cody holds onto the ropes, but Sheamus with a clothesline. Sheamus then hits Cody with the Beats of Bodhiran. Sheamus suplexes Cody back in the ring, then heads up top. Sheamus with a flying shoulder tackle for a close nearfall. Sheamus with a clothesline in the corner, but Cody slips out of a slam. Sheamus charges, but Cody avoids him and Sheamus goes shoulder-first into the corner. Cody heads up top and hits a moonsault press for a nearfall. Cody goes for a running knee, but Sheamus with a roll-up for a nearfall. Sheamus goes for a Cloverleaf, but Cody fights out, then hits the running knee for a close nearfall. Cody is frustrated as he goes for Cross-Rhodes, but Sheamus counters it. Cody avoids the Brogue Kick, but Sheamus then avoids a 2nd Disaster Kick.

Sheamus then this time hits the Brogue Kick for the victory.

Winner: “The Great White” Sheamus by pinfall (Brogue Kick)

After the match, Sheamus celebrates his victory with the crowd.

Backstage, we see Mark Henry walking the halls as he will be in action………..NEXT!

Back from commercial, its time for our next match.

“The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry vs. “The Cape Town Werewolf” Justin Gabriel

Gabriel avoids a clothesline and hits a kick to the leg, but Henry throws him into the corner. Gabriel tries to get away, but Henry with a headbutt. Gabriel with some more kicks, but Henry hits another headbutt. Henry stomps away at Gabriel, then chokes him with his boot. Henry with a big back club. Gabriel comes back with a series of strikes, but Henry knocks him back down. Henry chokes away at Gabriel, followed by a big corner whip that bounces Gabriel off the turnbuckles. Gabriel slips out of a slam, followed by a chop block. Gabriel with some forearms, then goes off the ropes, but Henry catches him and throws him onto the apron. Gabriel comes back with a shoulder, flips over Henry and goes off the ropes, but again Henry catches him and hits a big powerslam. Henry drags Gabriel to the corner and heads up to the middle rope. Henry connects with a Vader Bomb to Gabriel’s back.

Henry then hits the World’s Strongest Slam on Gabriel for the victory.

Winner: “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry by pinfall (World’s Strongest Slam)

Henry yells “Who else wants some?” as we go to commercial.

Back from commercial, we go to a video package on Ryback.

Backstage, Cody Rhodes is fuming backstage over his loss until he sees Kaitlyn. Kailtyn tells him the ‘stache doesn’t give up, then awkwardly leaves before Rhodes can say anything.

We go to a RAW Rebound video package, looking at the Paul Heyman/Vince McMahon fight that involved Brock Lesnar & Triple H from this past Monday’s RAW.

We then see Triple H’s 1st Tout to Brock Lesnar before we go to commercial.

Back from commercial, we go video, highlighting the instant classic that was John Cena vs. CM Punk from this past Monday’s RAW to close out this week’s Main Event.
