Second report of 4/17 WWE event in Rotterdam, Netherlands

Joshua Montell passed along this report.

WWE RAW Live in Rotterdam. 17 April 2013.

WWE kicked off the tour last night in the Netherlands. Last night’s WWE WrestleMania RAW Revenge show at the Ahoy was awesome. The crowd was extremely alive through out the show. The ramp was really awesome. Me and my brother were lucky enough to get isle seats. The show was almost sold out, only few tickets were available in the nose bleeds. WWE was back after 20 years with a great card.

The show had a short intermission, many people were still buying drinks when Roberts announced the next match.

I’ve noticed that there were two referees at the show, Rod Zapata and Charles Robinson.

Many Fandango chants during the show. Signs were confiscated at the door.

Dutch WWE commentators Richard Simon and Sander Schrik for the WWE show on Eurosport were at the show.

Justin Roberts came out to a big pop and the show kicked off, the crowd immediately started the Let’s go Cena / Cena sucks chant.

First match was
Zack Ryder vs. Heath Slater.
Big pop for Zack Ryder, he won with the Rough Rider in a short match.

Antonio Cesaro vs. R-Truth
Huge pop for both men. R-Truth did his rap live. Crowd was behind R-Truth throughout the match. Match had some comedy spots from Cesaro’s part.

Justin Roberts announced that people could vote on twitter if they want Dolph Ziggler vs. Bryan Daniel to be a World Championship match. We had to tweet with dutch hashtags either
#Jatitel or #neetitel.

There was a promo from Dolph Ziggler on the titantron. Although there were some audio difficulties during the promo.

Huge suprise that Vickie Guerrero was here and she got major heat. Vickie is a b**** chants were often heard from the nose bleeds. She announced a 6 diva tag match.

The Bella Twins (they look super hot in real life) and Tamina Snuka vs The Funkadactyles and Kaitlyn.
Fun back and forth match. The Bella Twins basically equally covered their ´twins´ unlike they did on RAW.
The Funkadactyles and Kaitlyn won the match

William Regal vs. Michael McGillicutty
Extremly loud pop for William Regal. Many people in the crowd bowed down to him. The crowd was hot during the entire match. William Regal stalled the match when he listened to the Regal chants. After some chain wrestling, there were some ‘you still got it’ chants from the crowd he looked disillusioned at the crowd…until we chanted ‘You never lost it’. He then nod at us.Fun moment. Fantastic match with comedy spots from both men. Regal nailed McGillicutty with the knee trambler for the win. Second best match on the show.

Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler (c) for the World Championship match.
Huge reaction for both men when they came to the ring. Many AJ Chants as well. Noticed many stiff kicks during the match.
Dolph Ziggler defeated Daniel Bryan to retain the Championship in the match of the night.
In a side note, the “New” World Championship (with the red strap)looked really shinny and great.

However at the end of the match Daniel Bryan took the World Championship and raised it in the air, crowd went wild for this moment.

Brodus Clay and Tensai w/ the Funkadactyles vs. The Rhodes Scholars.
Tons of Funk are really huge in real life. Many boos for the Rhodes Scholars. A Cody’s moustache chant broke out during the match. Great tag team action.
Sandow took out brass knuckles out his trucks but Naomi intervened and nailed Sandow with a perfectly executed hurricanrana. Match ended with the big splash for the win in favor of Tons of Funk. They did the dance routine after the match.

Kane vs. Big E. Langston.
Langston is a big, big man. He and Kane had a short match until Ziggler ran in to attack his bodyguard, slowly after that Bryan ran in to make the safe. Vicki comes out again and made it a tag team match that lead to

non title match
Team Hell No vs. Big E Langston & World Champion Dolph Ziggler.
Similar match like the one at WrestleMania. Many great spots during the match.
Bryan pinned the World Champion Dolph Ziggler for the victory.

After the match was a confontation between Kane and Bryan. Bryan claimed he won the match for the team so Kane should give him the tag belt which he brought with him. However Kane refused and Kane kept teasing Bryan. A huge hug it out chant broke out…and they hugged it out.

Justin Roberts announced that the main event was for the WWE Championship in a tables match.

WWE Championship
Tables match
Ryback vs. John Cena (c)
Ryback got a huge pop and Cena got a huge mixed reaction. Many “feed me more” and “Let’s go Cena / Cena sucks” chants during the match. Ryback didn’t look like a heel during the match.
John Cena looked maybe a bit upset during the show that he was booed. There were many tables during the match, because on table became too unstable so Ryback decided to destroy it. Exciting match and Cena retained the WWE Championship. He posed with the belt before he went back.

+ Hot crowd
+ Great line up
– Long lines at the stands: Ziggler & Miz shirts were sold out early.

Before the show there was a signing by the Tons of Funk. They all appeared to be super nice in person. But because it was so crowded it wasn’t possible to pose with them.
