WWE has revealed the official Pay Per View buyrate figures for Money in the Bank, Summerslam and Night of Champions events in 2013 courtesy of the company’s third quarter results issued on Thursday morning.
* Money in the Bank on 7/14/13 drew 199,000 buys, up from 188,000 buys in 2012.
* Summerslam on 8/18/13 drew 296,000 buys, down from 358,000 buys in 2012.
* Night of Champions on 9/15/13 drew 175,000 buys, down from 189,000 buys in 2012.
Overall Pay Per View revenue for WWE in the 2013 third quarter decreased by 10% to $14.6 million compared to $16.3 million in the same quarter last year. The $1.7 million decline was attributed to the performance of the Summerslam event, which contributed to a 9% reduction in buys for WWE’s comparable quarterly events.
