Kassius Ohno, who was better known on the independent wrestling scene as Chris Hero, was quietly released by WWE on Friday. Ohno had been part of the NXT roster.
According to a report by Mike Johnson, Ohno was given his release shortly before beginning his training on Friday morning. He signed a developmental deal with WWE in 2012. Pro Wrestling Syndicate has already booked him under his former ring name of Chris Hero for an upcoming event on 11/16 against former WCW and WWE star Shane “Hurricane” Helms.
