WWE star and former Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett had surgery on Tuesday in Birmingham, Alabama with Dr. Jeff Dugas to reptair his injured shoulder. Barrett suffered a separated shoulder at the Smackdown tapings last Tuesday in Pittsburgh when he was thrown into a ring barricade by Jack Swagger.
WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann added that Barrett underwent a “ligament reconstruction in his shoulder, as well as a distal clavicle resection where the end of the collar bone is shaved off.” The company didn’t provide how long he is estimated to be out of action. The only mention was on RAW this past Monday by Michael Cole estimating he would be out for a few months.
