During a recent interview with IGN, Chris Jericho talked about enjoying his heel character in WWE and feeling he did a great job with it in working with Mickey Rourke heading into this year’s WrestleMania.
“I’ve been really able to get into and become this character to a point where I can get in there and have no doubt as to what I’m doing. You know, to go face to face with Bob Barker — that takes some commitment to do that. And that’s what happened to Mickey Rourke. When I appeared on Larry King I really played the part of the bad guy to the point where he thought I was serious — to the point where he showed up at Wrestlemania and he thought I was there to beat him up and I had to convince him that I was playing a part just like he does. I’m proud of that performance. I actually love having it on my reel. Jericho vs. Rourke. Watch Jericho out-act the Oscar nominee.”
