In an update to our earlier report a few weeks back, WWE plans to debut a new WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt on tonight’s 8/18 RAW in Las Vegas. The new title will feature the new WWE logo that debuted this past weekend at WWE’s offices in Stamford, Connecticut, replacing the old “Scratch” logo that WWE has used since the end of 1997.
New WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar spoke with TMZ.com last night after winning the title from John Cena at SummerSlam and mentioned that he wanted to merge the WWE and World Titles into one title belt.
